Purpose
The Real Estate team is the foundation of the entire business and is responsible to devise and executing the business’s expansion strategy and delivering the entire portfolio rollout as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
The role will entail leading all the supply acquisition transactions, including market research, technical due diligence, all financial analysis, legal diligence, commercial negotiations, deal management, and closure pertaining to WeWork's expansion.
The position is responsible for facilitating all actions required for the professional management of WeWork's leasing pipeline and portfolio across all regions and territories. As a leader of the real estate team, this role requires a deep understanding of the commercial real estate market, real estate portfolio management, commercial and legal negotiation, and stakeholder management.
Accountable For:
- Leading the Real Estate portfolio and growth for the country
- Leading the entire Real Estate team across regions & territories
- Developing and executing the long-term strategy for expansion and portfolio
- Developing deep relationships with all the major developers, asset-owners, IPCs & other Property consultants in the market
- Facilitating all actions required for and maintaining systems for the entire portfolio management
- End-to-end management of the deal pipeline, deal management, and closure
- Cross-functional collaboration to ensure adherence to all SOPs, industry standards, and business priorities
- Maintaining an in-depth and real-time perspective of the market, key trends, and all supply options and competitive activity in the market
- Developing a cohesive and high-performing team as well as a strong people-focused team environment to enable the team’s success
- Management reporting for the entire portfolio
Capabilities:
- 8 to 10 years of extensive work experience in RE Finance, CRE brokerage, and/or CRE acquisitions
- Experience with commercial real estate and transaction management
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders in the market
- Strong capabilities in financial modeling and market research, and proficiency in finance
- Strong understanding of the commercial real estate industry
- Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
- Teamwork, cooperation, and the ability to lead
- Reliable, focused, and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excels under pressure; has the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in understanding and interpreting complex commercial lease language
- A people leader with the ability to get into trenches when required
- Ability to multitask, process work quickly and accurately with changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and communicate data in a clear manner
- Desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
- Familiar with all local bylaws and norms, with a proficiency in reviewing and investigating conflicts
- Experience related to lease administration, accounting, and property/project management is preferred
- Agile and nimble in thought and action
