About the role
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Generalist to manage verticals within our People function – Performance Management, People Operations, HR Audits, and People Business Partnering. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of HR systems and processes, a bias for execution, and the ability to influence and drive outcomes across levels.
You will play a critical role in shaping the employee experience and building scalable and compliant HR practices that support our fast-paced and evolving business.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Performance Management

Lead the design, communication, and implementation of WeWork India’s performance management philosophy and processes (goal setting, quarterly check ins, mid-year and annual reviews, along with calibration).

Work closely with functional leaders to drive a culture of continuous feedback and accountability.

Use performance insights to inform talent decisions, including development, promotions, and performance improvement plans.
2. People Operations

Oversee core HR processes across the employee lifecycle: onboarding, employee movements, HRIS and exit processes, and documentation.

Ensure process efficiency and employee experience through digitization, automation, and SOP alignment.

Partner with finance, legal and compliance teams to ensure all HR operations adhere to statutory requirements and company policy.
3. Audit & Compliance

Lead periodic internal HR audits, including documentation audits, POSH compliance, contract management, and policy adherence.

Ensure adherence to labour laws and employment regulations; drive timely submission of statutory reports and compliance documentation.

Work with external consultants and internal teams to close audit gaps and build long-term controls.
4. People Business Partnering

Act as the strategic HR partner to a set of functions/business units, supporting workforce planning, engagement, org design, talent reviews, and manager effectiveness.

Counsel leaders and managers on employee relations, development, and retention strategies.

Drive culture-building initiatives in alignment with the company’s values and business priorities.
Experience and Qualifications
- 10–12 years of HR experience with exposure across HR operations, performance management, business partnering, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, HR systems and performance frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Prior experience in managing audits and scaling HR practices in a high-growth or multi-site environment is preferred.
