About the role
The Wework India Product Standards and Innovations team is looking for an associate architect. This team works on the cusp of product standards, design studio & projects team while delivering quality inputs for seamless project execution. You will also be exposed to the dynamic role of the architect of WeWork and will work in collaboration with other departments like Real Estate, Business Innovation, Sales, Community and Operations.
Roles and responsibilities
- Support the development, documentation and implementation of Wework standards and tracking updates and conducting quarterly checks of BOQ & Revit templates
- Perform periodic site visits, conduct & track building audits in collaboration with the projects team to ensure projects are built as per guidelines built by S&I team
- Vendor collaboration and manufacturing/quality control assessment of various architectural building components, wayfinding and creative items
- Analyze data extracted from various softwares used by BI team to make design decisions and continuously update the standards
- Training of team members through creative design presentations to keep the supply team up-to date with Wework India design standards and open to company wide presentations of the same
- Keep up to date with the latest updates in work place design principles and competitors. If needed, relook at existing Wework standards
- Work closely with Design studio to ensure awareness about various challenges that might exist in any process, stay proactive to create new automations in close collaboration with VDC (Virtual Design & Construction team), processes which will help in creating efficiency
- Open to utilizing AI to make effective decisions and understanding a new dimension of any initiative that might have been missed otherwise.
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelors in Architecture
- 1 - 3 years professional design experience in high quality commercial or hospitality projects. Mixed-use residential, cultural, and institutional experience also will be considered.
- Proficiency in Revit, Autocad and Adobe CC
- Working knowledge of Google Suite
- Experience in design strategy, vendor coordination and aligning design solutions with member goals will be an added advantage
- Some exposure to Rendering and presentation platforms like Enscape, Vray and Lumion for Sketchup will be an added advantage
- Some demonstrable experience in design documentation in a BIM (Revit) Workflow
- Ability to invoke applicable building, accessibility codes and zoning in the design scheme
- Skills in applying building materials and construction details
- Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills
- Excellent decision-making and time management skills
- Reliable, focused and detail-oriented
- Able to multitask and adapt to a dynamic and creative work environment
- Collaborative and respectful to fellow team mates & members
- Always willing to question the status quo
