About the role

The Asset Management role is responsible for ensuring efficient lease administration, real estate portfolio management, financial analysis & performance monitoring, and stakeholder management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Strategy:
    - Developing and executing strategies to optimize the performance of commercial real estate assets within a portfolio
    - Assessing the market conditions and determining the optimal time and strategy for property disposition or redevelopment
    - Asset managers oversee the renegotiation strategy, coordinate with TMs and the Underwriting team to provide direction.
  • Lease Management/ Administration:
    - Deploying software for lease tracking
    - Developing lease abstracts and tracking critical dates
  • Financial Analysis and Performance Monitoring:
    - Conducting financial analysis to assess the performance and profitability of assets
    - Asset managers prepare regular financial reports and provide insights to stakeholders regarding the performance of the portfolio and individual properties.
  • Finance & Rents:
    - To maintain the REFX records / rent schedule
    - Rent payout reporting
    - Invoicing mechanism improvement and implementation
  • Landlord Management:
    - Attornments & related documentation
    - Act as a POC for post-open handover within RE team

Education and Desired Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Asset Management
  • Strong capabilities in analyzing leases, understanding commercial terms & clauses
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Understanding and exposure to portfolio management
  • Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
  • Teamwork, cooperation, and ability to take direction
  • Reliable, focused and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • Excels under pressure; ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications and G-Suite Applications
